The diminution of excesses in one quarter to the benefit of another brings the situation into concordance with right and reason. Accordingly, the sage restrains his wrath and suppresses his desires. Let there be sincerity in this and conformity to the times. Poverty should not be covered with empty pretenses. Even sacrifices to heaven may be simple.
